PFOX Exposes Dangers Of Self-Identifying As ‘Gay’ Before Maturity

The Washington Post recently ran a sympathetic article about a 15-year-old boy named Saro who described his homosexual feelings and how Gay Straight Alliance student clubs help such gay teens to deal with discrimination and bullying in high school and middle school.

“What the article failed to describe,” said PFOX Executive Director Regina Griggs, “is the danger of young sexually confused teens self-identifying as gays at an early age. Research has shown that the risk of suicide decreases by 20% each year that a person delays homosexual or bisexual self-labeling.* Early self-identification is dangerous to kids.

“Schools should not be encouraging teens to self-identify as gays, bisexuals or transgendered persons before they have matured. Sexual attractions are fluid and do not take on permanence until early adulthood. Rather than affirming teenagers as ‘gay’ through self-labeling, educators should affirm them as people worthy of respect and encourage teens to wait until adulthood before making choices about their sexuality. If teens are encouraged to believe that they are permanently ‘gay’ before they have had a chance to reach adulthood, their life choices are severely restricted and can result in depression.”

Ex-Gay Viewpoint Suppressed

Griggs also notes that schools with Gay Straight Alliance clubs are notorious for suppressing ex-gay organizations or individuals supporting tolerance for the ex-gay community. “GSA clubs and their teacher sponsors make schools unsafe for anyone who has rejected the ‘gay’ label in their lives or who believes in ex-gay equal rights. Our efforts to reach all students are typically met with hostility and violence. Time after time, we have faced hostile gay students and teachers ripping up our ex-gay materials or demanding that we be banned from distributing our materials on campuses.”

The National Education Association’s Ex-Gay Educators Caucus recommends diversity and inclusion of the ex-gay viewpoint in public schools, but this is seldom the case, according to Griggs. “What we find is that Gay Straight Alliance leaders and their school officials routinely suppress the ex-gay viewpoint and bully into silence anyone who dares to speak up for ex-gay equality and tolerance. If schools truly cared about diversity, they would include the diversity of the ex-gay community. Former homosexuals and their supporters should have the same kind of access to public schools that GSA clubs currently enjoy.”

Griggs concludes: “Article such as the one in the Post fail to tell both sides of the bullying debate and endanger the lives of sexually confused and troubled youth who should be discouraged from self-labeling as gay, bisexual or transgendered.”

NY Governor’s Executive Order a Move Toward Nazism

New York’s governor, David A. Paterson, is following the path of pre-Hilter Reich led by the Kaiser. He was notorious for bypassing the processes of a Democratic government. In order to accomplish what he wanted often in opposition of the duly elected legislator, he employed the dictatorial tool of the executive order. It is only dictatorial tool available to the executive provided by a democratic form of government. Hitler was democratically elected. Once elected, Hitler took the common use of the executive order for making public law to its final purpose.

The move toward totalitarianism is already blatantly practiced by gays and their supportive politicians. Gov. Patterson has taken the next step toward a totalitarian state. When people with a moral conscience are no longer permitted to freely criticize the behavioral politics of sexual immorality, their Constitutional rights have been usurped. When moral or religious people are fired for the same reasons, the supposed liberal right to employment becomes non-existent. More importantly, so does their right to assembly in term of economics. When employers are forced to hire those whose behavior offend their religious or moral beliefs, business owner have lost their 1st amendment rights. When ex-gays cannot freely speak at churches, college campuses, or in other public without fascist gays disrupting their meeting to an extent that riot police must be involved, American of opposing views have in-effect lost their free speech rights. That is especially so because typically police do not forceful remove radical and violent gays from the premises of those public forums.

For public officials to abolish the moral bases of social law is to violate the very principle of our Republican form of constitutional government rooted in natural law and religion. Consent of the many does not make constitutional law when it violates the other part of Declaration of Independence that speaks of appealing to the Supreme Judge of the world for the rectitude of our intentions and ith a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence.

Besides, gay politics claim civil rights to justify their politics. Yet, civil rights law founded on the 14th and 15 amendments are directly linked to the Declaration of Independence. The equality spoken of in the Declaration is part of natural law as given by the Creator, Providence, and Supreme Judge– in other words, God. God did not create homosexuals. It is obvious to both Reason and Revelation that God make male and female for sexual relations, which is the a major reason for marriage. Natural law states that any practice contrary to nature is evil. That what gay politics is all about.

Leading the totalitarian charge is gay organizations like Amnesty International, Gay Straight Alliance Network International, GLAAD, GLSEN, Human Rights Campaign, International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission, Lambda Legal, Marriage Equality, Stonewall Democrats. They are supported mostly by those of the liberal, humanist, and socialist persuasion including organizations like Democratic party, United Nations, Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays, many corporations, American Civil Liberties Union, and the like. Senators Obama and Clinton officially support the gay agenda.

Cultural Challenge for the Church

Rev. Dallas Henry wrote an in-depth commentary on the cultural challenges the secular gay political agenda poses for the Church in America. Henry says the message of gay political activism was acceptance and tolerance. Today, the message is moral legitimacy.

Rev. Henry said gay leaders knew 30 years ago “the power of the media to sway public opinion and made the necessary political maneuvering from within the media to gain support. With that kind of power and support, the only battle left to win is the battle for moral legitimacy as well. Since the ultimate source of morality is God, the battleground has now shifted to the church. The same tactics are being employed to win the battle there as were employed to win the media battle; conquer from within.”

Rev. Henry make another astute observation about the historical shift of terminology describing homosexual behavior. Gays originally used the term sexual preference describe a pro-choice view. This was followed by the term alternate lifestyle, which still suggest a chosen why of life. Later, still more fuzzy term was used to minimize the concept of choice; that term was sexual orientation. Sex orientation actually means sexual feelings. Sex orientation further shifts gay behavior from a choice to a psychological-biological feeling. Although still psychological terminology, the more recent term, sexual identity, is intended to show homosexuality as a genetic trait, according to Henry.

Following out the genetic trait idea that began with geneticist Dean Hamer, scientists claim we are evolving, and evaluating these claims with sociological statistics, Rev. Henry reveals the gross contradiction behind the agenda.

Rev. Henry also uses the United Methodist Church position as an example of the trend of many churches and many Christians toward accepting the political message of gay politics. As mentioned earlier, gay are pursuing their agenda from within the church.

Instructing us how to respond to this situation, Rev. Henry points to four areas of responsibility the church must fulfill, which he explains as prophetic responsibility, exegetical responsibility, social responsibility, and pastoral responsibility.

One issue making social responsibility difficult is overcoming the public perception that ex-gay message is intolerant homophobic hate speech. It is vigorously opposed because ex-gay message shows homosexual behavior as a choice and not a genetic predisposition.

The stigma against gay behavior being prohibited by new law has been turned against history and tradition and common sense. That is society now stigmatizes those who oppose the unnatural behavior of gays. The continuous propaganda of gay politics now is that criticizing homosexuality is so unchristian, but not according to nature, reason, scripture, and God.
